The main fa\u00e7ade, flanked by two bell towers, is torn in the centre by an arched doorway, topped by the high choir big window and the bishop’s weapons stone. In the interior of this longitudinal plant church, the highlight goes to the extraordinary blue and white tiles, with polychrome frames, with pictures of scenes of Our Lady and the life of Jesus Christ. The author of the tiles was Salvador de Sousa Carvalho (ca. 1727-1810), an artist born in Lisbon and a striking figure in the tile production of Coimbra of the second half of the 17th century.
