Divino Salvador Church: This 18th century baroque church, dating from 1748, has a coat of arms on its main fa\u00e7ade alluding to the bishop who ordered it to be built – D. Bernardo Ant\u00f3nio de Melo Os\u00f3rio (1742-1774). In this church, whose patron saint is the Divine Saviour, we can admire the richness of its Baroque style manifested in the carvings, colours and shapes of the main altar and the two side altars. Santa Cruz Chapel \/ Santa Cruz Celebration : On the first weekend of May, more specifically on the first Sunday of May.It is a secular religious pilgrimage, a celebration of food, devotion, religious parades, auctions and traditional balls. The first records of this celebration date back to 1690.Museu Etnogr\u00e1fico da Castanha (Chestnut Ethnographic Museum): this museum opened its doors on 8 December 2006, with a dedicated and permanent exhibition about the chestnut cycle and the surrounding countryside: displaying objects and utensils related to chestnuts and the day-to-day life of the village. It operates on a regular basis on Sundays and public holidays from 2.30pm to 4.30pm or by previous appointment. Chestnut Festival: held on the last weekend of October. The official website for the event is: https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/festadacastanha8 th December: a traditional community gathering for bonfire and dances, hosted by Centro de Cultura e Desporto de Aldeia do Bispo (Culture and Sports Centre of Aldeia do Bispo) founded in 1978.Sports and Health Day: this is a regular event in the parish dedicated to sport which involves people of all ages. The event always includes a community walk and a social event.ts main gastronomic reference is the chestnut-based meals. Paparote, a dried chestnut soup, is one example. The \u2018dried pods\u2019 soup, made with dried green beans, is also one of them. On festive days in the village, you can also enjoy lamb with chestnuts, a variety of chestnut pastries, chestnut jam and liqueurs. Traditional bread is still baked following the ancestral traditions and is also a reference in the local gastronomy.Handicraft: it is characterized by the woodcarvings made by Mr Ant\u00f3nio Costa and the drawings made with chestnuts by Mrs Nat\u00e1lia and Mrs Helena Abrantes. Mr Ant\u00f3nio Costa, a native of Aldeia do Bispo, in the ADM Estrela magazine, (Sousa e Oliveira, Relembrando o Passado, 2001, p. 5-8), states his sculptures are essentially related to religious art, though he also makes other styles of carving. He began to dedicate himself to sculpting as soon as he left school in 1978 and still continues to do so. Without any degree, he learnt over time and quickly developed a love for the art, becoming the only carver in the parish of Aldeia do Bispo.Natural and Historical Heritage: Main Church, the Alto (chapel) of Santa Cruz and the Chapel of Santa Cruz, the Penedo Lad\u00e1rio, a diving fountain, 2 water fountains, 2 large fountains, 1 Geodesic Mark, 1 belvedere and 1 community oven (which is still used by locals), several anthropomorphic graves – carved into rock formations – probably dating back to the 11th or 13th centuries and the symbology of New Christians in different areas of our village.Penedo do Lad\u00e1rio: The highest point in the parish, at 1074 metres above sea level, it borders the parish of Vale de Estrela and has a magnificent view to the south.
