Miradouro da Torre dos Ferreiros (Viewpoint of the Tower of the Blacksmiths)

Facing south the magnificence of Serra da Estrela dominates the landscape. One can see the former Sousa Martins Sanatorium, a landmark in the history of the city, which gave it the epithet of City of Health. Facing north Castro do Tintinolho stands out in the landscape and the Archaeological Station of Póvoa do Mileu can also be seen. The Watchtower and the St. Vincent Church stand out on the walled perimeter. Facing east the archaeological site of Cabeço das Fráguas is one of the most emblematic villages of the Protohistory of the entire Iberian Peninsula. Following the same direction one can see Castro do Jarmelo, installed at the top of Cerro do Jarmelo, overlooking the vast territory that goes from the eastern slopes of Serra da Estrela to the Spanish border territories. Facing west the Watchtower and the Cathedral stand out by their beauty and magnitude.
